ART REQUIREMENTS

  • HOW TO SEND US YOUR ARTWORK - All custom product orders must be accompanied by an email containing the artwork files as attachments.

  • WHERE TO SEND YOUR ARTWORK - Artwork files must be emailed to: support@stllaserworks.com

  • WHAT TO SEND US - We use vector files for etching our products. Please provide your artwork in one of these formats… (.svg, .ai, .eps). Please include your name and order number in the email. If you haven’t ordered yet and just need an evaluation of your artwork before proceeding, just your name and an explanation of your needs will be fine.

  • MY FILES ARE NOT IN THAT FORMAT - If you do not have your artwork in one of these file formats, you can provide your artwork as a clean, sharp raster file (.png, .jpg, .bmp, etc.) and we will recreate it as a vector file that can be used in our production process. The higher resolution your image, the better. This service will require an additional $35 fee.

  • LOGO COMPEXITY - Highly complex logos (lots of detail) can look great when viewed on a screen or printed, but etching these types of logos at a small size can be problematic and result in a poor-quality finished product. If you have a logo like this, we recommend creating a simplified version for this process. If you’re unsure, send us the files you have, and we’ll evaluate them for you.

    We also recommend that any text in your image be at least 2mm (.08 in.) in height for best results.

  • LOGO SIZE - The etchable area on glasses is typically limited due to the shape of the glass. We may have to resize your logo to fit this usable area. Rest assured, we will provide you with a mockup image prior to etching your first item. If you’re satisfied, we’ll etch one item and send you a picture for your final approval before producing the rest of your order.

  • WHAT IF YOU NEED TO MODIFY MY VECTOR FILES? - If we need to modify your logo to work with our engraving process, we’ll require your approval before proceeding. After evaluating your artwork, if any modifications are needed, we’ll send you a quote. Only after you’ve accepted our artwork quote will we proceed with the changes.

  • IF MY ARTWORK REQUIRES CHANGES WITH FEES, WILL I HAVE TO PAY THAT ON FUTURE ORDERS TOO? - Absolutely not. As long as your happy with the work we’ve done, we can use that same artwork on all future orders without additional fees.

  • OTHER FEES… NOPE! - STL Laserworks does not charge setup fees or handling fees! We only charge for necessary artwork modifications. If you can send us an acceptable vector format file, you will have no fees at all!
